FAQ

Short answers to the questions traders ask most, with links to the full rule.

Programs

Which program has no consistency rule?

Instant Zero, 1-Step, 1-Step Daily, 2-Step and 2-Step Daily have none, and so do the legacy 1-Step Pro and 2-Step Pro. Instant Funded (20%) and Access funded accounts (40%) do. See Consistency rule.

Is there a time limit to pass an evaluation?

No. The only clock is inactivity: open a trade at least once every 30 days.

Which programs have no daily loss limit?

Instant Zero, and the legacy 1-Step Pro and 2-Step Pro (sold until 26 October 2026). On those programs the maximum drawdown is the only loss limit. On 1-Step Daily and 2-Step Daily you can remove the daily limit with the No Daily Loss add-on. See Daily loss limit.

Are the rules different on MT5, TradeLocker and Match-Trader?

The rules are the same on every platform and at every size. The one difference is leverage: Access funded accounts on MetaTrader 5 run at 1:50, against 1:100 everywhere else. See Trading platforms.

Trading

Can I use an EA?

Yes, on every program. On funded accounts, make sure it doesn't close trades in under 3 minutes (short trades) or trade inside news windows.

Do I have to use a stop loss?

No rule requires one, but we strongly recommend a stop loss, or another clearly defined exit, on every trade. See Stop loss.

  • Your daily loss limit and maximum drawdown are measured on equity, so an open loss counts. A losing trade without a stop can breach the account before you close it.
  • On funded accounts, Atlas Protector closes every open position when their net floating loss reaches 2% of your initial balance. The first time cuts your profit split to 50% for the life of the account, and the second time breaches it. Keep the combined risk of everything you have open below 2% of your initial balance.
  • A stop makes your risk per trade a known amount, which is easier to size and to keep within those limits.
Can I hold trades overnight and over the weekend?

Yes, on every CFD program. Remember the daily limit re-anchors at 00:00 UTC using your equity, including open trades. Futures positions are closed for you at 4:45 PM New York time. See Trading hours and EOD close.

Can I trade the news?

In evaluations, yes. On funded accounts, profit from trades opened or closed within 5 minutes of a high-impact event is deducted, and positions opened inside the window are closed. See News trading. On futures, only funded Atlas Daily accounts have a news window, of 1 minute. See Funded account rules.

What time does the day reset?

00:00 UTC for every CFD/Forex account. Futures accounts reset at 4:45 PM New York time. See Daily loss limit.

Does a floating profit count towards my target?

No. Targets are measured on closed balance. Close the trade to pass. See Passing a phase.

Atlas Protector

What is Atlas Protector?

Atlas Protector is a safeguard on funded accounts. It closes your open positions before an open loss can take the account.

When does Atlas Protector trigger?

When the net floating loss of your open positions reaches 2% of your account's initial balance. On a $100,000 account that is $2,000.

What is the net floating loss?

It is your equity minus your balance: the combined unrealised profit and loss of every position you have open. A winning position offsets a losing one.

Do my closed trades count towards Atlas Protector?

No. Only open positions count. A loss you have already closed is in your balance.

Is Atlas Protector measured from the start of the day?

No. It is not a daily limit and it does not reset at midnight. It looks only at the positions you have open right now.

What happens the first time Atlas Protector triggers?

Every open position is closed automatically. Your account stays active and you can trade again straight away. Your profit split is reduced to 50% for the life of the account.

What happens the second time?

Every open position is closed and the account is breached.

Can the same loss trigger Atlas Protector twice?

No. After a trigger, Atlas Protector re-arms only once your open positions show no net loss, for example once they are closed. A second trigger needs a new 2% net floating loss after that.

Does Atlas Protector replace the daily or maximum loss limit?

No. Those limits apply at all times. If one of them is reached first, that limit applies.

Which accounts does Atlas Protector apply to?

Funded accounts only. It does not apply during an evaluation or on futures accounts.

Payouts

When is my first payout?

14 days after your funded account is created on Instant Zero, Instant Funded, 1-Step, 2-Step and the legacy Pro programs. 28 days on Access. Then every 14 days. Add-ons shorten this. On 1-Step Daily and 2-Step Daily there is no waiting period: request on demand, Monday to Friday, once you have 3 trading days in the cycle. Instant Zero and Instant Funded accounts purchased before 17 October 2026 keep their original cycle: the first payout after 28 days, then every 14 days (14, then 7 with Weekly Payout). See How payouts work.

What is the minimum payout?

You need at least $100 of profit to request ($50 on 1-Step Daily, 2-Step Daily and the legacy Pro programs). After that you can withdraw any amount up to your profit. On Instant Zero, only profit above the 3% payout buffer can be withdrawn, and the first three payouts are capped at 5%. On 1-Step Daily and 2-Step Daily the buffer is also 3%, and the first three payouts are capped at 2%.

Why were my positions closed when I requested a payout?

Requesting a payout closes all open positions and pauses the account until the payout is resolved. See How payouts work.

Do I get my fee back?

Yes, as Atlas Balance, when your 3rd consecutive payout on that account is paid. See Fee refund. Futures accounts purchased from 22 October 2026 have no fee refund.

Do I need KYC to trade?

No. You need it before a payout can be paid. See Identity verification.

Giveaway accounts: 2% payout cap

What is the 2% cap?

Giveaway accounts can withdraw a maximum of 2% of the account's starting balance in profit. The cap is measured on gross profit, before your profit split is applied.

Is the cap per payout or in total?

In total, across the lifetime of the account. Every payout you take counts towards the same 2%.

How much can I withdraw?
Account size Cap (gross) You receive at 90% split
$5,000 $100 $90
$10,000 $200 $180
$25,000 $500 $450
$50,000 $1,000 $900
$100,000 $2,000 $1,800
$200,000 $4,000 $3,600
Do the normal rules still apply?

Yes. Giveaway accounts follow the same rules as the plan they're based on, including:

Why is there a cap?

Giveaway accounts are free. The cap lets us keep running giveaways for the community while keeping them sustainable.

Double Rewards: 16 to 18 October

What is Double Rewards?

Buy a challenge between 00:00 on Friday 16 October and 23:59 on Sunday 18 October (UK time), and your first payout on that account is doubled. It's a regular challenge with the same rules, price and targets. The only difference is your first payout.

Which challenges qualify?

Any challenge bought during the promo, any model and any size. Access accounts and accounts purchased using Atlas Balance are excluded. Accounts bought before or after those dates don't qualify.

How much do I get?

Twice your first payout. For example, if your first payout is $1,000, you receive $2,000.

Is every payout doubled?

No, only the first payout on the account. Every payout after that is paid at your normal profit split.

What do I need to do?

Trade the account as normal. Pass your evaluation if your model has one, keep the account free of breaches, then request your first payout from your dashboard. If the account breaches before that first payout, it no longer qualifies.

Do I need a code or to contact support?

No. The double payout is applied automatically when you request your first payout on the qualifying account.

I bought more than one account. Does each one count?

No. Double Rewards applies to one account per trader: the first account you buy during the promo.

I bought my account before the promo. Does it count?

No. Double Rewards only applies to accounts bought between 16 and 18 October.

How is the doubled payout paid?

The same way as any other payout on Atlas. See How payouts work.

Futures

These answers are for the futures rules sold from 22 October 2026. Funded accounts on the original rules moved to them on 26 October 2026, and challenges on the original rules keep their rules until they pass. The reset rules and the account limits below apply to every futures account.

Can I hold futures positions overnight?

No. Every futures position must be closed by 4:45 PM New York time. A position still open then is closed for you, and the account stays open. See Trading hours and EOD close.

How does the futures drawdown work?

Your max loss is a fixed dollar amount that trails your end-of-day balance, not intraday highs. It is checked live, so your equity, including open trades, must never touch it. It stops rising at $100 above your starting balance, and on a funded account it is fixed there when you request your first payout. See EOD trailing drawdown.

Is the futures daily loss limit a breach?

No. Reaching it closes your positions and locks trading until the 4:45 PM New York reset. The account stays open. Every futures program has one, except Atlas Direct $25K and Standard or Apex accounts bought with the No Daily Loss Limit add-on. See Daily loss lockout.

Which add-ons can I buy on a futures account?
Add-on Programs Price What it changes
No Daily Loss Limit Atlas Standard +25% No daily loss limit, in the evaluation and when funded. Your max loss still applies.
No Daily Loss Limit Atlas Apex +40% The same, on Atlas Apex.
50% Consistency Atlas Apex, Atlas Daily +15% In the evaluation, your best day can be up to 50% of your profit instead of 40%, and you can pass in 2 trading days instead of 3. Your funded rules don't change.

Add-ons are chosen at checkout and priced on top of the plan price. They stay with the account through a reset. Atlas Daily always has a daily loss limit.

How often are futures payouts?

There is no waiting period. On Atlas Standard, Apex and Direct you can request at any time once you meet the profit goal (and, on Apex, 5 winning days). On Atlas Daily you can request once a day. Payout requests are open Monday to Friday (UTC). Each payout has a minimum request and a cap for your account size. See How futures payouts work.

Why is my funded futures account trading fewer contracts?

A new funded account starts at half the contract limits. The full size unlocks once your end-of-day balance reaches your starting balance plus your max loss plus $100, or when your first payout is paid. See Platforms and contracts.

What happens at my 5th futures payout?

Our risk team reviews it as part of approving it. Either the account stays funded and your payouts carry on as normal, or the payout is paid and you are referred to live trading, and the funded account closes. See Atlas Live.

Do I get my fee back on a futures account?

No. Futures accounts purchased from 22 October 2026 have no fee refund on any payout. Futures accounts bought before then keep the fee refund they were sold with.

Can I reset a futures account?
  • Evaluation: yes, once per evaluation. A reset costs 90% of what you paid for the account, add-ons included, after any code you used at the time. No new discount code can be used on a reset. Atlas Balance can.
  • Funded (Standard, Apex and Daily): there is no funded reset. If the account reaches its max loss, or is closed for inactivity, before its first payout, you can reactivate it once, within 30 days. Reactivation costs 3 times the plan price for that size and can't be discounted. An account closed for a prohibited practice can't be reactivated, and neither can one that has had a payout.
  • Atlas Direct: no reset and no reactivation.

See Resets.

How many futures accounts can I have?

Up to 10 active futures evaluations and 5 active funded futures accounts at once. You can still buy more. Extra accounts are paid for at checkout and queued. A queued account starts automatically, oldest first, as soon as one of your accounts passes, fails or is closed. You get your login details when it starts.

How do futures bundles work?

Buy 2 to 10 accounts of the same plan and size in one order. Every account gets your code, plus 1% more off for each extra account, up to 3% more from 4 accounts. The 5th account is half price and the 10th is free, so 10 accounts cost the same as 9.

Atlas Direct bundles up to 5 accounts, with 1% more off per extra account and no half-price or free account.

The checkout lists the price of the 1st to 5th and the 10th account, and the order total for the number you choose. Add-ons are charged on every account in the bundle, the half-price and free ones included.

Do bundles work with discount codes?

Yes. The bundle discount is added on top of your code. Codes take up to 40% off futures accounts and up to 25% off Atlas Daily.

What does a reset cost on a bundled account?

A futures reset costs 90% of what you paid for that account. In a bundle, every account counts as costing the same share of the order, so the half-price and free accounts are reset at the same price as the others.

Do discount codes work on futures?

Yes, on the plan price and any add-ons. A code takes at most 40% off a futures account, and at most 25% off an Atlas Daily account. A bigger code applies at that limit. Codes can't be used on a futures reset or reactivation.

Can I copy trades between my accounts?

Yes, between your own accounts, within the account limits. Copying another person's trades is not allowed. Holding a long and a short at the same time across your own accounts (hedging) is not allowed either, and our risk team reviews it. See Prohibited practices: futures.

What happens to my account bought before the change?
  • A challenge: it keeps its rules until it passes. From 26 October it is then funded on the new funded rules.
  • A funded account: it moved to the new funded rules on 26 October, with its balance and profit carried over. See "My funded account moved to the new rules" below.
My funded account moved to the new rules. What changed?

Every funded futures account on the original rules moved to the new funded rules on 26 October 2026.

What stays the same: your balance, your profit and your trades. Payouts already paid stay paid, and a payout already requested stays requested.

What changes on Atlas Apex 50K:

Before Now
How often Every 7 days, after 4 days of $200 or more After 5 winning days of $150 or more, counted again after each payout
Net profit needed since the last payout None $750 (payouts 2 to 5)
Most per payout 50% of profit, up to $3,000 50% of profit, up to $2,000
Smallest payout $100 $500
Daily loss limit None $1,200. Reaching it closes your positions and pauses trading until 4:45 PM New York. It does not fail the account
Max loss 4% trailing, locks at the starting balance $2,000 trailing, locks at $100 above the starting balance
Contract size Full Half, until the max loss locks or the first payout is paid. Accounts that had already locked keep full size

Other sizes:

  • Atlas Apex 150K: up to $3,000 a payout (was $4,000), and winning days of $255.
  • Atlas Direct 25K and 50K: a profit goal per payout ($1,500 or $3,000 for the first, then $1,250 or $2,500), up to $1,000 or $2,000 a payout, and your best day can be no more than 20% of the cycle.
  • Atlas Standard 25K: the max loss becomes $1,000 (was 6%, $1,500), and payouts come from the balance above the buffer.

The No Daily Loss Limit add-on was not sold on the original plans, so a moved account doesn't have it. You can buy it on a new account. Your account's Statistics page shows the rules that apply to it.

Why was my payout held for review?

We check every payout request against the futures rules. If your trading shows a pattern the rules describe, the payout is held while our risk team reviews it, and they contact you by email. A single trade never holds a payout on its own. See How trades are checked.

Breaches

My account was breached. Can I get it back?

Not the same account, but for 7 days you can reset it at a discount and continue from the phase you were in. Futures accounts follow their own reset and reactivation rules.

Can trading without a stop loss breach my account?

Not by itself. No rule requires a stop loss. But your limits are measured on equity, so a losing trade without a stop can reach your daily loss limit or maximum drawdown before you close it. See Stop loss.

Does a deduction breach my account?

No. Deductions remove the profit from specific trades and the account stays open. See Breaches and deductions.

Social media conduct

Can Atlas Funded take action on my account because of what I post online?

Yes, in specific cases. You're free to share your honest experience with Atlas Funded, good or bad. That includes leaving reviews, raising complaints and discussing our rules publicly. We won't take action against you for honest feedback or criticism.

We do reserve the right to act if you knowingly post false or misleading information about Atlas Funded on any social media platform, forum, review site or community channel.

What counts as misconduct?
  • Making false claims about Atlas Funded, such as saying a payout was refused when it was paid, or that rules were applied when they weren't.
  • Sharing edited or fabricated screenshots, payout certificates, account statements or messages.
  • Misrepresenting a decision on your account, for example leaving out the rule breach that led to it.
  • Threatening to post negative content to pressure us into approving a payout, reversing a decision or giving you compensation.
  • Harassing or threatening our staff or other traders, or posting their personal details.
  • Impersonating Atlas Funded or our staff, or running pages and groups that appear to be official.
  • Sharing confidential information from your account, support tickets or internal communications in a misleading way.
What happens if this applies to me?

We'll contact you first. In most cases we'll explain what's inaccurate and give you the chance to correct or remove it. If the conduct continues or is serious, we may:

  • issue a formal warning
  • restrict or suspend your account
  • terminate your account(s) and refuse future purchases

Misconduct online is handled like the other prohibited practices.
