Account limits

Maximum drawdown

The line your equity must never cross. Static on the 1-Step and 2-Step families, trailing on Instant (end of day) and Access (equity).

Every account has a drawdown floor. If your equity (balance plus open profit and loss) goes below it at any moment, the account is breached.

Floor

Floor = Starting balance × (1 − limit)

The floor is fixed. Profit you make does not raise it. A $100,000 2-Step account has a floor of $90,000 from the first trade to the last.

Trailing, end of day

Used by Instant Zero and Instant Funded.

Floor

Floor = Highest closed balance reached, as of the last 00:00 UTC reset × (1 − limit)

  • The floor is recalculated once a day, at 00:00 UTC, from the highest closed balance your account has reached so far.
  • During the day the floor stays still, even if you are up. Open profit never raises it.
  • It never moves down and it does not stop at your starting balance. It keeps trailing as your balance grows.
  • The breach check is still on equity, live.
Example · $10,000 Instant Zero, 4%
Day 1 floor $9,600
Day 1: you close trades and your balance peaks at $10,300
Floor from 00:00 UTC on day 2 $9,888
Day 2: equity dips to $9,950 with a trade open still safe
Day 2: equity dips to $9,880 breached

Trailing, equity

Used by Access.

Floor

Floor = Highest equity ever reached (including open profit) × (1 − limit)

  • The floor rises the moment your equity prints a new high, including open profit you have not closed.
  • It never moves down and does not stop at your starting balance.
  • If an open winner turns around, the floor it raised stays where it is.

Open profit counts

With trailing equity, a trade that runs up and comes back can bring the floor much closer than your closed balance suggests. Watch the Max. Drawdown gauge on the Statistics page, which shows "Breach at" in dollars.

After a payout

What happens to the floor after you are paid depends on the program:

Programs After a payout
Instant Zero, Instant Funded, 1-Step, 2-Step, Access Re-anchored. Your starting balance for drawdown and profit becomes your balance after the payout, and the floor is recalculated from it at the same percentage.
1-Step Pro, 2-Step Pro Unchanged. The floor stays at your original starting balance × (1 − limit).
Example · $100,000 1-Step, paid out
Floor before any payout $93,000
Balance $106,000, you withdraw $5,000 of profit balance $101,000
New floor, 7% below $101,000 $93,930
