Account limits
EOD trailing drawdown
How the futures drawdown floor rises with your end-of-day balance, stops at your starting balance, and locks when you request a payout.
Every futures account has a drawdown floor. If your equity, including open positions, goes below it at any moment, the account is breached.
How the floor moves
Floor
Floor = Highest end-of-day balance so far − your drawdown amount
- The floor is recalculated once a day, at 4:45 PM New York time, from the highest balance your account has closed a day at.
- During the day it stays still. Intraday highs and open profit don't raise it.
- It never moves down.
| Starting floor | $48,000 |
| Day 1 closes at $50,900 | floor → $48,900 |
| Day 2 closes at $50,400 | floor stays $48,900 |
| Day 3 closes at $52,600 | floor → $50,000, then stops rising |
Funded accounts: the floor stops at your starting balance
On funded Standard, Apex and Direct accounts, the floor rises until it reaches your starting balance, then stays there. Once your end-of-day balance is a full drawdown above the start, you can never lose more than your profit.
Requesting a payout locks it. The moment you request your first payout, the floor is fixed at your starting balance for good. Money you withdraw doesn't bring the floor closer.
Atlas Live
Atlas Live is different: its floor trails your equity, including open profit, in real time, and it doesn't lock at your starting balance.
