Getting started

How Atlas works

Atlas Funded gives you a simulated account to trade. Follow the rules, and you are paid a share of the profit you make.

Atlas Funded is a proprietary trading firm. You buy a challenge, trade a simulated CFD/Forex or futures account under a set of risk rules, and once the account is funded you are paid a share of the profit it makes. Your share is 90% on every program, and an add-on can raise it to 100%.

All trading is simulated

You never trade real capital on live markets. Balances, positions and profit are simulated. Payouts are real money, paid by Atlas based on your simulated performance. See Simulated trading and risk.

The five steps

  1. Pick a program

Choose how you want to get funded. Instant programs fund you from the first trade. Evaluation programs (1-Step, 2-Step and Access) ask you to reach a profit target first. Compare CFD programs or compare futures programs.

  2. Buy the challenge

Pick an account size and a platform at checkout: MetaTrader 5, TradeLocker or Match-Trader for CFD/Forex, Volumetrica or WealthCharts for futures. Add-ons are optional. Buy a challenge.

  3. Trade within the rules

Your account is watched in real time by the Atlas risk engine. Several rules can end an account: the maximum drawdown, the daily loss limit where your program has one, a second Atlas Protector trigger and inactivity. Using a prohibited trading practice can end it too. Other rules deduct profit instead. See Breaches and deductions for the full list. CFD rules or futures rules.

  4. Pass and get funded

In an evaluation, close trades until your balance reaches the profit target and you have traded the minimum number of days. The next phase, or your funded account, is issued automatically. Before a funded account can trade, you sign your funded trader agreement in the dashboard. Passing a phase.

  5. Request payouts

Once your payout window opens and you meet the payout checks, request a payout from the dashboard. You choose Rise, USDT (ERC20) or Atlas Balance. How payouts work, or futures payouts.

Two kinds of rule

This section covers CFD/Forex accounts. Futures work the same way, with their own list: see futures rules at a glance.

Every rule on Atlas does one of two things. Knowing which is which is most of what you need.

Type What happens Rules
Breach The account is closed. You can usually reset it within 7 days. Maximum drawdown, daily loss limit, a second Atlas Protector trigger, inactivity, a prohibited practice
Deduction or block The account stays open. Profit on the offending trades is removed, or a payout waits. News trading, short trades, margin usage, consistency

Where the rules come from

The numbers on this site are read from the same plan settings the Atlas risk engine uses to decide breaches and payouts. If this site and your account ever disagree, the figures on your account's Statistics page are the ones that apply to you. Your signed funded trader agreement also governs your funded account.
