Funded account rules
News trading
On funded accounts, profit from trades opened or closed within 5 minutes of a high-impact news release is deducted.
On funded accounts, a window runs from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after every high-impact economic release.
- A trade opened or closed inside the window has its profit deducted. Losing trades are not affected.
- A trade that was opened before the window and closed after it is fine.
- A position opened inside the window is closed automatically, and any profit on it is deducted.
- The rule never breaches the account.
Evaluation accounts can trade the news freely.
Which events
High-impact events (the red folder) on the Forex Factory calendar. The window applies to every instrument, not only the currency of the release.

What gets deducted
The full profit of each flagged trade is removed from your balance straight away. There is no allowance: every flagged trade is deducted.
