Futures rules
Funded account rules
Short trades, the news window and the platform differences that apply once a futures account is funded.
These rules apply to funded futures accounts. Evaluations aren't affected.
Short trades
Hold every trade for at least 3 minutes. Profit on any trade closed in under 3 minutes is deducted. Losing short trades aren't affected, and the account stays open.
News
A window runs from 5 minutes before to 5 minutes after every high-impact economic release. Profit on a trade opened or closed inside the window is deducted. Trades held through the window are fine.
Platform differences
A few protections differ between the two platforms:
| Rule | Volumetrica | WealthCharts |
|---|---|---|
| Short trades (3 minutes) | Yes | No |
| News window | Yes | Atlas Live only, and a news trade breaches on Live |
| Margin usage (80%) | Yes: all positions closed and their profit deducted | No |
| Atlas Protector (2% open loss) | No | Yes: see Atlas Protector |
Also prohibited
The prohibited practices that apply to every Atlas account apply to futures too.
